  • BlackRock is positive that Bitcoin is forming a bottom, citing a strong price base at current levels.
  • It thinks Bitcoin’s value as a monetary alternative is its biggest factor.
  • The 2025 correction that brought prices down by 50% was caused by overleverage and did not stem from any fundamental shift.
  • BlackRock also thinks Bitcoin has decoupled from traditional markets.

BlackRock’s Market Report on Bitcoin Signals Hope

BlackRock released a market analysis report on Bitcoin in which the multi-trillion-dollar asset manager says the asset has fallen 50% since its October 2025 highs.

It further says the decline has been caused by overleveraged positions around Bitcoin, and that the correction was technical rather than a change in its investment case (i.e., fundamentals).

BlackRock is affirmative on Bitcoin’s rise as a monetary alternative.

The report finds that Bitcoin has a very low correlation with traditional markets, increasing its value as a hedge against them.

The report concludes that even minor allocations (say, below 10%) would significantly improve a portfolio’s overall returns.
